  • Suzelle Weems, of Madison, succumbed, on January 10, 2020 to the ravages of acute myeloid leukemia despite a valiant and resolute year- long battle with the disease, a battle which involved chemotherapy and bone-marrow transplant. She was born in Houston, Texas, May 6, 1955, the beloved first born of Nanette Weaver Weems and William Lamar Weems. 
  • Patricia (Patsy) Cassedy Futvoye passed away peacefully in the presence of her beloved family on January 9, 2020. Patsy was born May 28, 1940 to William Proby and Marion Ingram Cassedy in Brookhaven. She spent the first 15 years of her life growing up in Brookhaven.
  • Billy Martinson
    Billy Martinson, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2 following a short illness.  He was born on December 20, 1934, and often lamented he had always been slated to get two-for-one gifts around Christmastime. But his life was a constant gift to his family.
  • Officer’s funeral services set
    A funeral service will be held on Saturday for a Madison Police officer who died last Friday of natural causes in Jackson. 
  • Reginald Wayne Woods, of Ridgeland, son of the late Freddie and Tonya Woods, was born in Natchez, MS, on April 17, 1982.
  • Leland Somers Smith, III, of Madison, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on December 27,2019, at the age of 62. 
  • It is with great sadness that the family of David Lee Clement, of Madison, announces his passing on December 19th, 2019 at the age of 79. David was born in Flora, IL in 1940. A passionate sousaphone player, he enjoyed playing marches and, as a high schooler, was invited to play at colleges before ultimately being offered a music scholarship
  • Ann Marie Lindeman McMurphy, Age 92, of Madison, MS, passed away on December 18, 2019. 
  • Jimmie Yarbrough Harrison, age 74, passed away on December 14, 2019 at her residence in Madison with her loving family by her side. 
  • John Henry Patrick, 86, of Canton died December 12, 2019. A chapel service was held at Breeland Funeral Home. Burial was in the Canton Cemetery.
