Elliott Frank Thomas, Sr., of Madison, passed away April 10 at the age of 87. Elliott was born on October 13, 1929 to Frank and Lucille Thomas.

He attended Chamberlain Hunt Academy. He served in the Korean War. On April 25, 1954 he married Betty Jo Simon and they were married for 62 happy years.

During his early years he was a traveling salesman for Frank R. Thomas Co. Inc. and he later was President of the company until his retirement. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Madison. He was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and also the Alhambra.

He was also a member of the Cedars of Lebanon Club in Jackson. He is survived by his children Elliott Frank Thomas, Jr. (Dawn); daughter, Lynda Thomas Lively (Greg); Frank Rashid Thomas II (Melissa); grandchildren, Mary Kathryn Allen (Bo) of Jackson; Elizabeth Bowers (Chris) of Madison; Elliott Thomas III of Atlanta, GA; Mary Beth Lively and Anna Blake Lively of Oxford; Trey Thomas of Madison; great grandchildren, Emme Allen and Leeman Bowers. He is also survived by his sisters Marlene Iupe and Carolyn Simon, both of Jackson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were at St. Francis Catholic Church in Madison. Burial was in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
